"My friend and I took the French Lick trolley from the hotel to this restaurant as it was recommended to use it for a nice dinner. We are from Chicago and we have a lot of Mexican restaurants here and I realize there are a lot of 5 star reviews so maybe we came on a bad day or we have a specific way we are used to our Mexican food anyway our food was not what we were hoping for especially after being told it was good food. I ordered a bean burrito and a cheese enchilada along with a Miller lite beer. My friend ordered a steak taco and a margarita. The steak in the taco was very grisly. She didn't eat most of it and there wasn't a lot of flavor. The margarita was just okay. My bean burrito was basically a bean gravy. The beans were just watery. There were no actual beans in it. It was more like a wet gravy and it just poured right out of the shell. The cheese and the enchilada was not enchilada cheese. I think it was yellow cheese which is not normally what we have an enchilada. Overall, we were not so excited about our food. The atmosphere and the service was good and everybody was friendly. The menu was a great menu and had a good selection but overall this restaurant it just wasn't for us."

"My Little Princess and I stopped by for an evening meal and we selected Carnitas and the Special Dinner. We also had a margarita and a beer. The food was very good. The server, well, he was very polite, but needs some schooling in customer service. Would we dine at this restaurant when in the area in the future? Most certainly. The meal was very enjoyable."

"This place was hidden back a little, but it was great to find. We walked in and were seated fast and greeted by friendly waiters. The environment was clean and fun, good music playing, and speedy service. We order steak fajitas and fajitas jalisco. Both were cooked fresh, fast, hot juicy, not dry and delicious. Our waiter kept up with any request or chip refills, which were made fresh and delicious. The regular salsa was flavorless, but we ordered a salsa picante, which was better for our taste. It was a great meal not overpriced with decent portion sizes too if you want Mexican American food, then try out this place in town."

"It's always a good sign when the restaurant is very busy with almost full dining room and there were numerous take-out orders while we were there. Started with chips, salsa and guacamole. Guacamole was simple, non chunky, no tomato or onion, ok but not anything special. Shrimp Chimichanga with rice and beans and Miguel's Special - think that's what it was called - included Chile relleno, chalupa, taco, enchilada and a tamale with beans and rice for dinner. Wow! It was amazing. Fast friendly service. Exceptional value for the entire meal. Would definitely come back if we are ever in the area again!"
